The Texas Historical Foundation will hold its second annual Duda Forum on historical preservation and sustainable development Nov. 15-16.

What you need to know

With the theme of “New Building in Old Cities,” the event will feature presentations from public officials, architects, developers and advocates involved in historic preservation and new construction in historic settings. Presentations will discuss different strategies for adding new architecture to older structures, while maintaining the historic character of the building.

Event details:
  • Reception: 5:30-7 p.m. Nov. 15 at the offices of Ford, Powell, & Carson, 420 Broadway, Ste. 100, San Antonio
  • Forum sessions: 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Culture Commons Gallery, 115 Plaza de Armas, San Antonio
Registration is $20 and includes a box lunch on Saturday. Registration is required by Nov. 12.
