The city of New Braunfels will start overnight repair and resurfacing work on Walnut Avenue, from Landa Street to Business I-35, beginning Sept. 15.

The details

Throughout the project, traffic will be shifted to either the eastbound or westbound lanes while work is conducted in the opposite direction, minimizing the need for major detours, said David Ferguson, communications manager for the city.

To reduce traffic delays and improve safety, all work will occur overnight, from 7 p.m.-6:30 a.m., starting on Sunday nights and ending on Friday mornings, Ferguson said.

The timeline

The road project is expected to wrap up in about two weeks, Ferguson said, weather permitting.
