The Recycling Center, located at 281 Resource Drive in New Braunfels, expanded its brush and mulch area by building a new access road. This resulted in 17,000 cubic yards of aged mulch, according to an Aug. 28 news release from the county.
To distribute this inventory, the center is hosting two giveaway events where staff will assist with loading:
- Sept. 18, 8 a.m.-noon
- Sept. 21, 8 a.m.-noon
In addition to the events, the center has reopened its mulch yard, offering over 40,000 cubic yards of fresh mulch, according to the release.
Residents can pick it up during regular hours: Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon.
