New Braunfels ISD has selected Stephanie McClain as the next principal of Oak Run Middle School, according to a news release.
McClain will replace retiring principal Jessica White, the release states.
The background
McClain most recently served as associate principal at New Braunfels High School, a role she held since July 2022. During her tenure, she helped increase college, career and military readiness rates and improved the campus’s accountability rating, according to the release.
Before joining NBISD, she served as assistant principal and academic dean at Memorial Early College High School in Comal ISD, the release states.
McClain holds a Master of Education in educational administration from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Science in physics and mathematics from Slippery Rock University. She was named a Rising Star of New Braunfels Award recipient in 2025, according to the release.

District leadership said McClain will bring a wealth of experience that will help to guide the school in the right direction.
"Stephanie McClain is an exceptional leader who brings experience, vision and a deep commitment to students, staff and families," NBISD Superintendent Laurelyn Arterbury said in the release.
McClain said her focus will be the students.
"Middle school is such a pivotal time, and I am excited to partner with our staff, students and families to ensure every student feels connected, supported and challenged to grow," McClain said in the release.
