Larry Guerra began working for the district July 21 and has almost 20 years of experience in public education, according to a news release.
Guerra previously worked as the CFO for Judson ISD. He has experience in financial management, financial planning, contract negotiation and team building, according to the release.

Guerra said Comal ISD is a great opportunity for him to continue working in public schools.
"I look forward to getting involved in the communities that we serve and being a part of the district's continued growth," Guerra said in the release.
Comal ISD's Superintendent of Schools John E. Chapman III said the district was fortunate to have Guerra in the role.
"His experience is a great asset to Comal ISD," Chapman said in the release.
