New Braunfels High School's second phase construction, financed by New Braunfels ISD's 2024 bond, will bring changes to on-campus parking for the 2024-2025 school year.

The details

The construction is set to disrupt on-campus parking arrangements, said NBHS Principal Greg Hughes in a in a July 17 news release.

This phase will lead to the loss of about 140 parking spaces, requiring affected students to park at Oakwood Church instead.

Access to on-campus parking will be restricted exclusively to juniors and seniors due to limited availability, according to the release.

Juniors and seniors will receive separate communication outlining procedures to request on-campus parking tags, however, securing a tag does not guarantee a spot on campus, as per the release.

Oakwood Church will continue to provide parking options for students, with shuttle services operating at 8 a.m. and 4:20 p.m., facilitated by the NBISD Transportation Department.

What's next

The second phase construction, including the demolition of the current field house, is slated November, according to the release.
