Long story short
The event will take place by the Comal ISD Support Services Building, 1404 N. I-35 frontage road, New Braunfels, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., according to a July 11 news release from the school district.
The school district aims to provide an opportunity for potential drivers to experience what it's like to drive a school bus, as per the release.
Participants will drive a full-size passenger school bus in the parking lot under the supervision of Comal ISD transportation officials, according to the release, who will also answer questions, conduct on-site interviews and assist with the application process.

To be eligible for the event, as per the release, applicants:
- must be at least 21 years old
- have a valid Texas driver's license
- must wear closed-toe shoes, preferably tennis shoes
