The background
Owners Randy Rogers, Cody Reimer and Slate Angel purchased the historic Reimer Building in 2021, Rogers said.
The bar is located on the site of a former office building owned by the Reimer family, who also own Freiheit Country Store, Rogers said. The original building was demolished and a new structure was constructed for Lost & Found.
The name of the bar comes from a song written by Rogers, who is a country singer.
“I wrote a song called 'Lost and Found' ... it was really my first ever heartbreak,” Rogers said. “It just kind of became a staple at my shows, and it's become a song that people recognize.”
After playing the song for 24 years, Rogers said he always thought that it would be a great name for a bar and restaurant.
The details
“Over the last 25 years of touring, I have experienced some of the greatest rooftops, cocktails, and eats around the country,” Rogers said in a Sept. 5 news release. “I handpicked what I liked the most and am excited to bring these flavors and experiences to New Braunfels.”
The bar will offer a variety of distinct spaces and amenities, Rogers said, including:
- Rooftop bar
- Front patio
- Astroturfed courtyard area
- Whiskey room for private events
- Multiple TV screens
- Retractable roof
The owners plan to hold several soft openings throughout September before the official grand opening, Rogers said.
"[We're] looking forward to getting open and everybody getting to enjoy some hopefully nice weather this fall,” Rogers said.
