Flood debris cleanup begins in Kendall County
Flood debris cleanup along the Guadalupe River is underway in Kendall County as of July 30, County Judge Shane Stolarczyk said during a July 29 press conference.
Cleanup efforts follow multiple weeks of search and recovery initiatives throughout the county. Stolarczyk said Kendall County was fortunate to not lose any residents from the flooding, but did sustain property damage.
Cleanup efforts are expected to take 8-10 weeks and be completed throughout five phases across the county.
Workers will begin in the western portion of the county and move east. Stolarczyk said efforts in the western parts of the county are expected to take longer to clean up due to those sections being the most impacted by flood damage.
Fair Oaks Ranch council authorizes notice of bond sale for $7.93 million
Fair Oaks Ranch intends to sell $7.93 million in Certificates of Obligation for water and wastewater projects, following City Council authorization July 17.
The approval of the notice of sale does not lock the city into the bonds, but initiates the process for going out for bids.
Once bids are received, city staff and council will review the best option and consider the awarding of a contract.
Prior city council discussions indicated the intention to issue around $9.45 million in CO bonds, but a decision to free up savings in the Strategic Projects Fund allows the city to cash fund the two drainage projects planned for fiscal year 2025-26.
