A family-owned and operated gym is currently getting an extensive facelift.

What’s being done

MURFIT Fitness Club, located at 645 S. School St., Ste. 301, is undergoing an extensive renovation project that will double the size of the gym and significantly increase space for members to enjoy, Owner Blake Murdoch told Community Impact.

“We’re adding another 4,500 square feet,” Murdoch said. “We’re thinking that it will be done sometime in the fall.”

The gym is expanding to take over the suite adjacent to their current space, Murdoch said.

They’ll be installing a sauna, cold plunge and setting up new equipment throughout.

“We finally had the opportunity to start this up,” Murdoch said.
