Cardinal Counseling, a local practice owned by Ben Kinsey, a licensed clinical social worker, opened in Round Rock in April.

Kinsey said his practice serves children ages 4-18, and offers a variety of therapy specialties including:

  • Child-centered, synergistic play therapy
  • Dialectical-behavioral therapy
  • Strengths-based and existential therapy

While Kinsey said his practice does not currently accept insurance, he said he offers care on a sliding scale, as well as paperwork to assist families in getting reimbursed for out-of-network care as their insurance provider allows.
