Round Rock Chamber names Jordan Robinson interim president effective January

The Round Rock Chamber named Jordan Robinson interim president and CEO Dec.16.

The appointment of Robinson will be effective in January, following the departure of current President and CEO Jason Ball. Ball's departure from the chamber was announced Dec. 2 in a statement that said he will be relocating to Lincoln, Nebraska, and leading the city's chamber.

Ball joined the chamber in late 2019. Community Impact Newspaper previously reported that his final day with the chamber will be Jan. 30. At the time, chamber board President Avis Wukasch said the board will begin the search for a new CEO and president.

In the announcement of Robinson's selection, Wukasch said Robinson is "ideal" to ensure the chamber can continue its work without interruption as the board searches for a new president.

“We are so pleased to have Jordan step into this essential leadership role,” Wukasch said. “This was an easy decision for us. The chamber board wants to ensure the important work of the chamber will continue uninterrupted. Jordan is the ideal person to do that.”

Robinson joined the chamber in August 2020 as the vice president for economic development.

“I’m honored to be asked to serve the chamber during this transition,” Robinson said. “There is so much growth and opportunity ahead for Central Texas and Round Rock. The chamber has been an important catalyst for that growth. All of our initiatives will keep moving forward.”
