The health care industry in Texas is expected to grow by 32.3 percent from 2014-24 to a total of 1,892,000 jobs by 2024, according to data from the Texas Workforce Commission. The Central Texas region's health care industry is projected to grow by 22.4 percent. The Central Texas region includes Travis, Williamson and Hays counties.
