Round Rock officials approved changes to a 71.88-acre property that will bring about 330 new-build homes to the area.
KB Home, the developer of the Salerno subdivision, purchased the property and sought to annex it into the neighborhood’s Municipal Utility District.
In a nutshell
The 71.88-acre tract was annexed into the city in 2023, said Brad Dushkin, director of planning and development services for the city of Round Rock. A townhome development and later single-family homes were planned for the property. However, Dushkin said the original developer of that project no longer found this to be feasible.
KB Home will use the property to expand its Salerno subdivision, which is nearing completion of its original 1,200-home buildout, Dushkin said.
