Dallas Area Rapid Transit will institute temporary frequency and capacity enhancements during the FIFA World Cup to accommodate increased crowds in the region.
The temporary rail service increases will take effect June 8 and last until July 19, the end of the World Cup tournament in Dallas, according to a DART news release.

DART’s Orange Line, which currently extends through Richardson and Plano during weekday peaks only, will travel its entire route every day during the World Cup, ending at Plano’s Parker Road Station.
The Red, Blue and Orange lines are also set to run every 20 minutes all day for the duration of the World Cup.
“Our priority during the FIFA World Cup events here in North Texas is to ensure seamless service for residents and visitors alike,” said Trenise Winters, executive vice president and chief operations officer, in the release. “These enhanced services are being formalized to allow riders to easily plan trips via GoPass and for our daily riders to plan ahead for more frequent trains.”
DART also announced temporary enhancements to the Trinity Railway Express, which connects downtown Dallas and Fort Worth:
- Game match days: 30-minute service all day
- Weekdays (non-game match days): 30-minute service peak service, 60-minute off-peak
- Weekends and holidays (non-game match days): 60-minute service all day
- June 27: 60-minute service until 4 p.m.; 30-minute service after 4 p.m.
