Two steel arches were installed over US 75 in Richardson as part of Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s Silver Line bridge.
The final arch was completed July 27, but lighting installation will be ongoing over the next two months, according to a news release from the city.

DART’s Silver Line began rail service in October 2025, with a route that included a bridge passing over US 75 in Richardson.
Two 400-foot decorative steel arches were added to the bridge this summer to create what mobility program manager Daniel Herrig called a “visual gateway” into Richardson. The arches span up to 80 feet over US 75 alongside the Silver Line bridge, located just south of President George Bush Turnpike.
Over the next two months, blue and white accent lighting will be installed on the arches and their concrete columns. These are expected to improve nighttime visibility and highlight the architecture of the design, Herrig said at a May council meeting.
While US 75 and nearby roads experienced some nighttime closures to accommodate the arch installations, no road closures were announced for the lighting work.
