Nighttime closures are planned on and around US 75 from July 23-26 while an arch is installed on the Silver Line bridge over the highway.
Crews will install a 400-foot decorative steel arch on the north side of the highway. An arch on the south side was installed earlier this summer as part of Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s Silver Line bridge.

The installation will take place overnight from July 23-26, so road closures will only be in effect at night:

Silver Line rail service between Plano’s Shiloh Road Station and UTD Station will also be suspended overnight from July 24-26 as the trains cannot operate beneath the active construction zone. DART plans to provide bus service between the Shiloh Road, 12th Street, CityLine/Bush and UTD stations during the closures.
The big picture
The Silver Line began rail service in October 2025, with a route that included a bridge passing over US 75 in Richardson.
The south arch, the first of the two steel arches planned on both sides of the bridge, was installed in early June over several nights. Once complete, the arches will serve as a “visual gateway” into Richardson, mobility program manager Daniel Herrig said at a council meeting. Blue and white lighting on the arches and columns is expected to improve nighttime visibility as well as highlight the architecture of the design.
