2. Plans move forward for 11-acre, grocer-anchored retail center in Allen
A development including several restaurants and a grocery store is coming soon to east Allen. In a 6-0 vote, the Allen Planning and Zoning Commission approved a general development plan for an approximately 11-acre retail center in east Allen at an Aug. 18 meeting.

3. $240M Bella Prosper looks to 2027 groundbreaking
Bella Prosper, a $240 million planned mixed-use development, is set to help Prosper stand out amid rapid growth in North Texas, town officials said. It will include boutique shopping, restaurants, office space, townhomes and a waterfront hotel, according to town documents. The 61.7-acre development, which was approved by Prosper Town Council in June, is expected to bring in nearly $60 million in annual taxable sales, according to the developers.

4. Frisco approves $4.7M in contract for Frisco on the Green park construction
The city of Frisco has approved nearly $4.68 million in contracts for the construction of Frisco on the Green. Frisco on the Green is a 27-acre, nature-focused park project along Teel Parkway that preserves local wetlands and provides environmental education and community green space. During an Aug. 18 meeting, the Frisco City Council approved two separate contracts for the park’s construction, one for general park construction and site improvements and one for the construction of a playground.

5. Long John Silver’s reopens, debuts renovated East McKinney restaurant
A Long John Silver’s location in East McKinney is now open following a closure and renovation process, a company news release states. Upgrades at the remodeled restaurant include self-order kiosks, a streamlined layout and other new design elements, per the release.
