Nearly $2.9M for Plano road overlay projects approved

Several road projects are set to be completed after Plano City Council approved a nearly $2.9 million contract with FNH Construction LLC during its June 26 meeting.

The overview

According to a memo provided to council, the following roadways will be addressed with overlays:

• Los Rios Boulevard between 14th Street and Merriman Road
• Parker Road between the east city limits and Spring Creek Parkway
• Plano Parkway between Los Rios Boulevard and just west of the east city limits

In total, the project will place 4.2 miles of overlay on the affected roadways.

What else?

The approved contract will govern the procurement of equipment the city does not have, cannot store and is unable to operate or maintain. The project also has $454,275 budgeted for future expenses.
