Residents who regularly travel the weathered two-lane Immanuel Road in Pflugerville can expect to see construction for road improvements beginning next fall.
The details
Stretching from Killingsworth Lane to Pecan Street, the reconstruction project will include widening the roadway to three-lanes with two new bridges and adding shared-use paths, additional lighting and signals.
The new bridges will replace the Gilleland Creek and Gilleland Creek Tributary bridges. The city is also exploring options to repurpose the existing pedestrian bridge, according to city documents.
