Pearland ISD launches 'Safe and Secure' newsletter

Parents and community members at Pearland ISD could receive a "Safe and Secure" newsletter by the district after it was launched Aug. 8.

What you need to know

The newsletter will be used to provide reminders, updates and tidbits throughout the year to help keep PISD students, staff and community members safe.

While there is an August edition of the newsletter, the newsletter may not come out on a monthly basis as district officials have a goal to update families as often as possible, said PISD Director of Communications Aliana Wynn.

The newsletter is curated by John Palombo, PISD’s executive director of safety and operations, and will include updates on possible road traffic near the district, bus safety and school zone reminders, among other updates.

Also of note

The district’s e-newsletter will also have "Safe and Secure" updates, as well as updates on events and recognitions, among others.
