With all precincts reporting in Galveston County, unofficial results show incumbent Sally Branson has won Friendswood City Council Position 2 with 2,963 votes, against Shawna Talton who received 2,211 votes.
In another race, Randy Hale won Friendswood City Council Position 5 with 2,643, against incumbent Joe Matranga who received 2,570 votes.

With polls closing in Galveston County at 7 p.m., the first batch of unofficial election results show Sally Branson leading in the race for Friendswood City Council Position 2, and Joe Matranga leading in the race for City Council Position 5, according to unofficial results from Galveston County.
Branson is the incumbent candidate, serving on City Council since 2017, and before that served on Planning & Zoning Commission for three years, according to the city’s website.
Matranga is also the incumbent candidate, serving on City Council since 2023 and previously serving on Planning & Zoning Commission.
