1. Ballard Designs, a store that sells home furniture and accessories with European influence and offers design services, plans on opening in the Arboretum in the first quarter of 2023. The store is taking over the former Gap location at 10000 Research Blvd., Stes. 108-111. www.ballarddesigns.com
2. A Bouldin Acres restaurant and drinkery location is underway at 1806 Braker Lane. Officials said the second location will have the same offerings as its South Lamar location. Bouldin Acres, which bills itself as family friendly, features food trucks, a full-service bar, pickleball courts, a playground, free Wi-Fi, TVs, a dog-friendly patio and lawn games. There is no estimated opening date.
3. Cinnaholic, a plant-based bakery specializing in custom gourmet cinnamon rolls, brownies, edible cookie dough, cookies and more, is expected to open this summer at 10000 Research Blvd., Ste. 136. Cinnamon rolls have endless flavor combinations with more than 40 different frostings and toppings available.
