1. GTX Arts & Entertainment Mixer

2. Adultish screening of ‘Us’
Adultish will be back this October with another horror film screening. “Us,” from Oscar-winning director Jordan Peele, follows Adelaide, played by Lupita Nyong’o, who goes on a vacation with her family to her childhood home and cannot shake the feeling that they are being hunted. 3. Texas Teen Book Festival
The 11th annual Texas Teen Book Festival brings a day packed with young adult books, author talks and interactive workshops. This will be the first time the book festival is held in Georgetown. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Free. Southwestern University, 1001 E. University Ave., Georgetown. https://texasteenbookfestival.org/

4. Hay Day at Garey Park
The City of Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department hosts a fall celebration at Garey Park. The event will feature family-friendly activities, including pony rides, lawn games, a photo station, music, community vendor booths, a hayride and a pumpkin patch, among other activities. 5. Flashlight Corn Maze
Take on a new corn maze with a flashlight. Sweet Eats Fruit Farm will be open for extended hours for this event every Saturday in October. Attendees should bring their own flashlight.
