The Glade Arts Foundation opened in its new home on Woodlands Parkway in April and has since been working to bring fine arts and cultural experiences to The Woodlands community while giving back to other local nonprofits.

Founded in March 2017, Glade Arts Foundation is a multifaceted nonprofit that serves as a free fine arts museum open to the public and also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, Vice President of Arts Programs Dragos Tapu.

Additionally, the foundation serves as an educational outlet by offering art classes on a weekly basis for artists of all skill levels and ages. It also hosts field trips and offers scholarship opportunities for South Montgomery County students pursuing futures in fine arts, Tapu said.

“[Glade Arts Foundation] is a place where not only do you have a museum, but you have educational programming for all,” Tapu said. “We also have art programs that give back to the community through partnerships with organizations like New Danville, the Alzheimer’s Association and Montgomery County Youth Services.”

While entry to the museum is free, Glade Arts Foundation does host a variety of ticketed events, proceeds from which go toward the foundation’s programs and outreach efforts. The space can also be reserved for private events, such as birthdays, anniversary parties and weddings, Tapu said.
