Guests at Benbrook Ranch Park in Leander will be able to enjoy new ball field dugouts, spectator rails, shade structures and more after renovations are complete. At an Oct. 18 meeting, Leander City Council approved Westar Construction, Inc. to take on improvements at Benbrook Ranch Park. The enhancements, Phase III of a series of improvements to the park, are estimated to cost $477,486.40. New changes include two ball field dugouts, spectator rails, shade structures, chain link fencing, a pedestrian bridge and more, according to city documents. The council also approved Musco Sports Lighting to equip the park’s incoming baseball field with lighting. Benbrook Ranch Park is a 46.5-acre park located at the corner of Bagdad Road and Halsey Drive. The park features hike and bike trails, a skate park, a disc golf course and more.
