These meetings provide a forum where members of the public can speak for a limited amount of time about relevant topics.
Public speakers at school board meetings are encouraged to speak on the topics of education and district policies, curriculum and facilities. However, speakers are asked not to discuss concerns or complaints about specific individuals.
City council and board members are restricted from responding to speakers about items that are not on the agenda for that particular meeting. Anyone wishing to speak should fill out and submit a registration card at the beginning of that meeting.
