At Broken Barrel, owner and chef Hilda Ysusi shares her twist on the classic Moscow Mule with patrons by changing up the featured flavor every few months.  The Broken Barrel Moscow Mule is made with Skyy vodka, Fever-Tree ginger beer and a fresh fruit puree, made in-house. Ysusi said the restaurant is currently offering the beverage in a prickly pear flavor; however, it has also been served with white peach and pink guava in the past. “Our Moscow Mule is simple to make but really refreshing,” Ysusi said. “The sweetness of the fruit and the spiciness of the ginger beer really complement each other, and as the heat starts to come back, this is something you can drink out on the patio and enjoy without being overwhelmed by flavors.” The beverage is served on the rocks in a milk jar and garnished with a lime wedge at a cost of $12. During happy hour, which is Monday-Friday from 3 to 6:30 p.m., the drink costs $6. 1950 Hughes Landing Blvd., Ste. 1900, The Woodlands 281-719-8542 www.brokenbarrelwoodlands.com Hours: Mon.-Thu. 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Fri.-Sat. 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Sun. 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
