Russ Boles leading Republican primary runoff election for WilCo Precinct 4
Posted 8:38 p.m.Russ Boles is leading Bobby Seiferman in a runoff election Tuesday to decide who will be the Republican candidate for the Precinct 4 position of the Williamson County Commissioners Court.
Boles has received 63.83 percent of 1,789 votes counted so far in the race to Seiferman’s 36.17 percent, according to unofficial results from the Williamson County Elections Department.
Boles had a 447-vote lead in the race after early voting ballots were tallied and reported at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Boles and Seiferman took the top two places in the Republican race during the March 6 primary election, but neither was able to secure 50 percent of votes cast in order to avoid a runoff.
Boles, a commercial real estate broker, is currently serving as director of the Brazos River Authority.
Seiferman has served on the Round Rock ISD board of trustees and spent two years as RRISD’s Policy Committee chairman. He also represented RRISD on the Capital Area Council of Governments.
The winner of Tuesday’s runoff election will face Democratic candidate Carlos Salinas in the Precinct 4 election in November.
