The Star in Frisco will hold a grand opening celebration of its entertainment district March 29-April 1.

The Star in Frisco will hold a grand opening celebration of its entertainment district March 29-April 1.

The Star in Frisco will host a weekend celebration for the grand opening of its entertainment district of its development March 29-April 1. The weekend celebration will include live entertainment, special appearances, dining and shopping specials and prizes for the public.

The Jones family and Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney will host a ribbon cutting of the entertainment district at 11 a.m. March 29. During the weekend celebration, Winning Drive, Star Boulevard and Cowboys Way will be closed off to vehicles.

Part of the festivities will include a special concert featuring country artist Pat Green, a Saturday Easter service from Prestonwood Baptist Church, performances by the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders and the Dallas Cowboys Rhythm and Blue and promotions from participating retailers. There will also be special appearances by Rowdy and the Easter Bunny, live entertainment and an Easter egg hunt.
