In May, Cedar Park voters are set to decide on whether to reallocate a portion of sales tax revenue from one of the city’s economic development boards to fund drainage improvements and street repairs in the city.
On Thursday, Cedar Park City Council voted to place a special called election on the May 5 ballot. Residents will vote on whether to redirect one-eighth of 1 cent from the Economic Development Sales Tax Corporation, or 4A Board, to fund drainage issues.
City Council also voted to call a special called election to amend the city’s charter. Cedar Park residents will consider 21 propositions that could amend the document that determines how the city is governed during the May election.
