What we reported
Following eight years of service, Shenandoah City Administrator Greg Smith resigned from his position effective Aug. 31. In September, City Secretary Kathie Reyer was appointed to serve as the interim city administrator.
The latest
After working to evaluate and revise the job description, the city posted the job on its website as an open position Dec. 19.
What’s next
The position will be posted internally and externally for a minimum of 14 days, Reyer said. Reyer said the council has not stated a deadline, and there is no requirement to hire a permanent city administrator within a certain time frame.
