City of McKinney announces holiday closures for city hall, offices, Apex Centre

City offices will be closed  Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1 for the holidays.

City offices will be closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1 for the holidays.

The city of McKinney has released its holiday hours for all of its offices.

The following city offices and facilities will be closed for Christmas and New Year's Day.

  • Apex Centre (closed Dec. 25; open 8 a.m.-10 p.m.  Jan. 1)

  • City Administration offices (closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1)

  • City Hall (closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan 1)

  • The Courts Tennis Complex (closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1)

  • Dr Pepper StarCenter (closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1)

  • Libraries (closed Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1)

  • McKinney Performing Arts Center administration offices and ticket office (closed Dec. 23-26 and Jan. 1)

  • Municipal Court (closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1)

  • Oak Hollow Municipal Golf Course (closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1)

  • Recreation centers (closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1)

  • Senior Pool (closed Dec. 25-26 and Dec. 31-Jan. 1)


In addition to these closures, garbage and recycling collection will not be available Dec. 25 or Jan. 1. During the week of Christmas and week of New Year's Day, Monday collection routes will be picked up Tuesday, Tuesday routes will be picked up Wednesday and so on with Friday routes being picked up on Saturday.
