These five Katy area organizations recently celebrated anniversaries, post-Harvey re-openings or new growth.

Kingsland Baptist Church will open a second north Katy campus on the southwest corner of Stockdick School and Porter roads. Staff said the new campus will likely open in about three years, but a pop-up church will open Sundays at Bethke Elementary School, 4535 E. Ventana Parkway, Katy, starting Oct. 1.
Pop-up services will be offered at 9 a.m. as well as Kingsland Baptist’s ministries for children ranging from infants to high-schoolers. All mid-week programming offered at the church’s central location at 20555 Kingsland Blvd., Katy, will be available to members of the future north Katy campus. 281-492-0785.

RuizStudios Home Decor, which had its first anniversary Oct. 1 at 5625 Second St., Katy. The store closed for repairs due to Tropical Storm Harvey but has since reopened in mid-October.
