The city of Houston has been placed under a mandatory curfew from 10 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Mayor Sylvester Turner announced on Twitter. The city of Humble has also enacted a curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The mandatory curfew is intended help to stop any property crimes and looting against evacuated homes and residents looking to leave the city limits. It follows precedent set after Hurricane Ike, when Houston also imposed a curfew.
