Texas restaurant chain Snappy Salads will open its first Austin-area location in mid-September at the Village at Westlake shopping center, 701 S. Capital of Texas Hwy., Ste. G-700, West Lake Hills.

The business offers 12 varieties of salads on its menu, including a grilled avocado salad, a Cobb salad, and a yellowfin tuna salad, and “create your own” options, communications manager Montreal Williams said. The menu also includes wraps, soups and baked potatoes, he said.

The business is “eco-friendly” with biodegradable to-go containers, paper straws and cups made of corn products, Williams said.

“We’re an eco-friendly brand that tries to leave the world better than we’ve found it,” he said.

Snappy Salads will replace la Madeleine Country French Café which closed Dec. 31.
