Fort Bend County Commissioners Court meets
The court holds its regular agenda meeting at 1 p.m. on the second floor of 401 Jackson St., Richmond. Agenda items include traffic control plans for Precinct 3 and a closed session for commissioners to discuss the Westpark Tollway extension and FM 1093 expansion with the court's attorney.

Katy Planning and Zoning Commission meets
The commission holds a regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. at 901 Avenue C, Katy. Agenda items include a discussion on changing the section of Franz Road between Avenue D and Reston Falls Lane to "Franz Court." The roadway is currently
under construction.
The commission also holds a public hearing for a zoning ordinance change in West Ten Business Park on Tuesday, with a second hearing scheduled Aug. 14. The full meeting agenda is available

Fort Bend Commissioners Court holds special meeting to discuss mobility bond
The court will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. to
vote whether to put a $218.6 million mobility bond on the Fort Bend County's November ballot referendum. The bond package includes 64 projects, with 12 projects in Precinct 3. The bond may include new frontage roads along Grand Parkway in the Cinco Ranch area. The meeting takes place on the second floor of 401 Jackson St., Richmond.

More Spanish classes offered at Central Green Park
Conversational Spanish classes at Central Green Park in LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch are now being offered on the second and last Fridays of the month. "Moana" screening at VFW Park
As part of its Katy Summer Nights series, the city of Katy's Parks and Recreation Department hosts a free outdoor screening of Disney's "Moana." The movie revolves around a Polynesian princess who is on an adventure to save her island from destruction. Moviegoers can bring blankets, food, drinks and chairs.
