Incorporation workshop, Montgomery County Appraisal District opposition: 4 things to know in The Woodlands this week, July 24-29

Several meeting take place in The Woodlands, Oak Ridge North and Shenandoah this week. Here is what residents need to know:

1. Oak Ridge North City Council meets tonight at 7 p.m. Agenda items of note include a vote to approve the Hillside drainage project, the purchase of a new police vehicle and a report from the city manager on the city's budget schedule. 2. The Woodlands Township board of directors will meet Wednesday at 4 p.m. for a special planning session to discuss the township’s plans for possible incorporation. The board is expected to review findings from previous meetings and discuss a timeline for incorporation. 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., The Woodlands. 281-210-3800.

3. The Woodlands Township board will also have a regularly scheduled meeting Wednesday at 6 p.m. Agenda items of note include a call for the board of directors election for Nov. 7, reports on law enforcement and a resolution to name a candidate for the Montgomery Central Appraisal District board of directors. 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., The Woodlands. 281-210-3800.

4. Shenandoah City Council meets Wednesday at 7 p.m. Agenda items of note include contract negotiations for fiber-to-home installation in the city, a resolution in opposition the the Montgomery County Appraisal District's proposed budget, and a location selection for a Halloween Safe Street. 29955 I-45 North, Shenandoah. 281-298-5522.
