Mobility workshop


The Fort Bend County Commissioner’s Court will hold a public workshop Monday to discuss the $217 million mobility bond referendum slated for November. A list of road projects under consideration and a corresponding map is available on Fort Bend County’s website. 1 p.m. 401 Jackson St., Richmond.

Development Corporation of Richmond meeting


The Development Corporation of Richmond will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the City Hall Annex at 600 Morton St., Richmond. The development corporation promotes economic and development activities within the city and is made up of an executive director and seven voting board members. For more details, click here.

Community members are invited to attend the Rosenberg Police Department’s Coffee with a Cop to discuss community issues Wednesday at Rita’s Mexican Restaurant. 9-10:30 a.m. Free. 4615 Avenue H St., Rosenberg.

"Diversity and Living Together: an Awareness Session from Various Cultural and Religious Groups"


Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls will host a community session on diversity Thursday at the Gus George Law Enforcement Academy. According to a press release, representatives from Sikh, Hindu and Muslim groups will be present at the talk. Nehls said the objective of the session is to promote acceptance of other cultures and help residents become knowledgeable about prominent cultures besides their own, according to a news release. 3-7 p.m. 1521 Eugene Heimann Circle, Richmond. Blaisdale Road total closure and FM 359 southbound lane closure


Blaisdale Road will be closed in both the eastbound and westbound direction starting Friday at 9 p.m. through 5 a.m. Wednesday morning. Drivers can detour using River Trace Drive to access FM 359 and Blaisdale Road. One lane will closed on FM 359 southbound during the same time, July 28-Aug. 2, from River Trace Drive/Shadow Grove Lane to US 90 A. Drivers are encouraged to be careful in the area and follow signage rules.

Business Round Table with the Texas Department of Transportation


The Central Fort Bend Chamber Infrastructure Committee will host a business roundtable with TxDOT Friday at the Rosenberg Civic Center to provide Richmond and Rosenberg business owners with an update on I-69 construction. TxDOT transportation engineer Grady Mapes will present about road closures and completion dates and inform businesses how to direct customers to their locations. 10-11:30 a.m. Registration is required.
