1. On Thursday, Round Rock ISD will host its first meeting in search of a new trustee to fill the seat left vacant by Paul Tisch. At the Thursday meeting, current members of the board will present duties of the board and answer questions of interested candidates. Applications for the position are being accepted through July 26. The term of the vacant seat is set to expire in November 2018.

2. The city of Round Rock approved the relocation of the historic Stagecoach Inn to a site north of its current location on the Chisholm Trail. The new location will put the structure close by to other buildings ingrained in the city's history. The firm responsible for the move, Architexas, estimated at a February council meeting that the move would take one full night to execute and 60 days to prepare.

3. The city of Hutto is examining lowering the property tax rate in the upcoming fiscal year from the 2017 rate of 52.04 cents per $100 home valuation to a proposed 51 cents. City council is continuing the budget process at future workshops with plans to hold hearings on the topic on Aug. 17 and Aug. 24.

4. Favor announced Monday it would be doubling its service area in Austin to areas including Pflugerville, Round Rock and Cedar Park. This expansion will also allow customers to order from a greater selection of restaurants including Greenhouse Craft Food and Salt Traders Coastal Cooking.

5. Pflugerville ISD will initiate budget talks at its upcoming Thursday night meeting with a discussion on setting the proposed maintenance and operations tax rate of $1.04 and the propose interest and sinking tax rate at $0.50. The trustees will also discuss setting dates for public hearings on the 2017-18 budget.
