Early voting for the Pearland City Council runoff election commenced on May 30 and will extend through June 6, according to the Brazoria County Clerk's Office. Election day is June 10.
Two seats are on the ballot for the runoff election: the mayor and city council position No. 7.
Mayor Tom Reid faces Quentin Wiltz in his first runoff for Pearland mayor. Dalia Kasseb is competing against former council member Woody Owens for council position No. 7, a newly created council seat. A runoff election occurred because no candidates for the mayor and city council seat secured the majority of the votes during the May 6 local general election. Read the full election day story here.

Pearland voters also elected two Pearland Independent School District trustees in May, including 18-year-old Glenda Dawson High School graduate Mike Floyd who will be the youngest trustee in the district's history.
