Live Puppetry Art Show
The owner of StageWorthy Arts Melissa Patrello will have an interactive exhibit of large puppets, flying creatures and animated inventions. Guests can meet artists, visit with puppeteers and more. Date Night at the Heard
The event is for guests age 21 and older. Childcare is available for children ages 5-12, but spots are limited and only available for event participants. Ghostly Hauntings Tour
This two-hour tour by flashlight allows guests to hear the history of historic homes at Chestnut Square, the people who lived there, how they lived and stories of ghostly hauntings. Tours will begin at the schoolhouse on the northeast side of the property. Children under 12 years old are not permitted and an adult must accompany children 12-17 years old. $18 (Chestnut Square members), $20 (nonmembers). 8-10 p.m. 315 S. Pet Adoption
High Hopes All Natural Treats and Tom Thumb are sponsoring the event and will sponsor the first 60 cat and dog adoption fees. Animals will be provided by SPCA of Texas’ Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas and Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney.
