Frisco Fire Safety Town
Frisco Fire Safety Town is hosting its spring and summer safety event to offer guests the opportunity to see the facility and explore the fire engine, as well as learn a variety of life and fire safety topics. This weekend participants will learn about water safety. There will be jeep and bike rides to children 40 inches and taller. 5-8 p.m. (Friday and Saturday). Free. Run Like a Mother

NAMIWalks Dallas 2017
The Dallas affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness will host a 5K-walk event for NAMI programs at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Other North Texas NAMI affiliates will also participate in the event including NAMI Denton County. The walk will be followed by a free concert by Nashville singer-songwriter Daphne Willis. This is a 45-60 minute class that will focus on the healing and stress reduction benefits of yoga. All levels of yogis are welcome. No props necessary; just a mat is needed. The first 100 participants who arrive will receive a free yoga mat. A suggested donation of at least $10 is asked to participate, and donations will benefit the Susan G. Dallas Symphony Orchestra: DSO on the Go
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra in partnership with Frisco ISD will perform pieces by Beethoven, Strauss and Brahms at Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco. Hackathon
Hack DFW will host an all-day Hackathon at the Library Makerspace. Attendees will collaborate in groups to create an app that benefits the community. Teams will reconvene on Sunday to put the finishing touches on their projects before a group of judges select winners and prizes are awarded.
