1. Kingwood intersection improvements


Construction will begin this summer on a designated turn lane and traffic signalization at the intersection of West Lake Houston Parkway and Northpark Drive as well as Kings Crossing Drive and West Lake Houston Parkway intersection.


Timeline: summer 2017-fall 2017


Cost: $1.2 million


Funding source: Lake Houston Redevelopment Authority



2. Townsen Boulevard expansion


The city of Humble is wrapping up the engineering phase for the expansion of the final two-lane portion of Townsen Boulevard. The roadway will be expanded to four lanes between the northern entrance of the Wal-Mart Supercenter and where the road bends west toward Hwy. 59.

Cost: $4.3 million

3. Woodland Hills Drive extension


Woodland Hills Drive will be widened from two lanes to four between Beltway 8 and Ridge Creek Elementary School. During Phase 2, which will begin during the second quarter of 2017, a new roadway will be constructed between Ridge Creek Elementary and Woodland Path Drive.

Cost: $10. 6 million


Funding source: Harris County precincts 2 and 4



4. Sorters McClellan Road expansion


Montgomery County is surveying the topography for the expansion of Sorters McClellan Road from two to four lanes between Kingwood Drive and FM 1314. The project also includes turn lanes at major intersections and drainage improvements.
