The Star in Frisco announces first concert
The Star in Frisco has announced its first concert featuring singer James Taylor. Taylor’s national tour will make a stop at the Ford Center at The Star on July 31. The show will feature special guest Bonnie Raitt.
Tickets will go on sale Friday starting at $36 each.
Municipal court closes for training
The Frisco Municipal Court will close Tuesday and Wednesday for judicial and clerk training. The court will reopen at 10 a.m. Thursday. If any payments or filings are due to the court Tuesday or Wednesday, they will be considered "on time" if they are received before the court closes on Thursday. Runoff election early voting begins Wednesday
Early voting for the March 25 runoff election begins Wednesday and runs through March 21. The runoff is a result of no candidate securing more than 50 percent of the vote during the Feb. 18 special election, which was held to fill the Place 1 seat on Frisco City Council.
Brandon Burden and
John Keating will be vying for the seat in the runoff.
The polls will be open at the following times:
- 8 a.m.-5 p.m. March 8-18
- 7 a.m.-7 p.m. March 20-21
- Polls will not be open March 11-12 and 19
The following polling locations will be available during voting:
- Collin College Preston Ridge campus, 9700 Wade Blvd. (Collin County voters)
- Fire Station No. 8, 14700 Rolater Road (Collin County voters)
- Fire Station No. 4, 4485 Cotton Gin Road (Denton County voters)
- Fire Station No. 7, 330 W. Stonebrook Parkway (Denton County voters)
