The recreation center located at 6000 Jupiter Road, Plano, is expected to reopen in the fall, according to a news release from the city.
Renovations at the recreation center will include:
- Refinishing the basketball and racquetball court floors
- Resurfacing the pool deck
- Creating a new front desk
- Making general updates, including paint, flooring and lighting
- Adding a weight room will new equipment and more than 35 cardio machines
- Converting the existing weight room into a studio classroom
- Adding a locker room and updating the current locker rooms
- Installing new mechanical equipment in the pool
While Oak Point Recreation Center is closed, guests will be able to use Plano’s other recreation and aquatic centers. Here is a map of other centers guests will be able to access:
