What we reported Since its Jan. 17, 2016 grand opening, One Eleven East has not only served as a site for weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, anniversaries, birthdays, banquets and workshops, but it has also hosted photography sessions and video shoots.

The building, at 111 East St. in historic downtown Hutto, features 15-foot-high, expansive ceilings highlighted by natural light. Other architectural features include original, exposed brick walls; a bead board ceiling; and long-leaf pine floors the owners exposed after removing dilapidated carpet.

“There was so much architectural character of this property; it was bound to operate as something special,” said Erika Williams, who owns One Eleven East with her husband, Halton. “We just needed to restore its existing beauty and bring it back to life.”

The latest Owners of One Eleven East are expanding the 3,700-square-foot venue by another 3,000 square feet, including a new 1,500-square-foot courtyard. Work continues on the One Eleven East expansion, which includes the building at 109 East St.

What’s next A city spokesperson said the work will add reception space and a business. The business, 10th Collection, is a boutique event rental team based in Austin. Its new showroom will open early 2017.
