Home sales were up in Georgetown for the month of November. Year-over-year sales increased 26.3 percent over 2015, and the median home price reached $260,000, up 13 percent from 2015, according to the Austin Board of Relators November 2016 Central Texas Housing Market Report. Single-family home sales experienced double-digit growth across the Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes Williamson County. Across the MSA, sales reached 15.8 percent year-over-year growth with 2.055 home sales in November, and Williamson County was up 14.7 percent, according to ABoR. 2016 ABoR President Aaron Farmer said numbers this high in November were surprising but welcomed. "Home sales throughout 2016 continue to be fueled by our region’s steady population growth," Farmer said in a statement. "At the current pace, 2016 will likely turn out to be another record year for Central Texas home sales.”
