Veterans Day events set today in Round Rock, Pflugerville

Hutto High School students honored veterans with two ceremonies Thursday morning.

Round Rock and Pflugerville will honor veterans with ceremonies at 11 a.m. today.

In Round Rock, an event honoring military veterans will be held at the city of Round Rock Veterans Park, 600 Pecan Ave.

In Pflugerville, the 6th annual Veterans Day ceremony will take place at Pfluger Park, 515 City Park Road. The ceremony is planned by American Legion Kerlin-Lyerly Post 154.

The Post is also sponsoring the American Veterans Traveling Wall, an 80 percent-sized replica of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C., is on display 24 hours a day through 3 p.m. Sunday.

The wall is on display at Pfennig Park, 1301 W. Pfennig Lane, Pflugerville.

Hutto ISD held its ceremonies to honor veterans Thursday. Several events took place at the high school and in each district building throughout the day.
