Lake Travis Fire Rescue’s seventh annual Public Safety Day took place Oct. 23 at the Oaks at Lakeway shopping center, 1900 S. RR 620, Lakeway.

This year about 20 agencies participated, including the Lakeway Police Department, the Bee Cave Police Department, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Travis County Parks, Travis County Search and Rescue and Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services.

The event included music, food, safety demonstrations and family activities that allowed Travis County residents to get to know their local first responders.
